Sexual Health equity and choice Clinic

At our drop-in Sexual Health Equity and Choice Clinic, we provide confidential, inclusive, and comprehensive care for people of all genders and backgrounds. Our mission is to support your sexual and reproductive health through accessible services delivered with compassion and respect.

Everyone is welcome, you do not need a Medical Services Plan (MSP) to access our services. We offer free STI testing and support regardless of your insurance status or immigration status.

We offer confidential testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including:

  • Chlamydia

  • Gonorrhea

  • Syphilis

  • Trichomoniasis vaginalis

  • HIV (we DO NOT offer rapid HIV testing)

  • Hepatitis B & C

  • Herpes (only for symptomatic patients)

  • Cervical swab for HPV testing (anyone with a cervix between the age of 25 to 69)

  • PAP (for symptomatic patients or when indicated)

Birth Control Options

We offer comprehensive contraceptive services, including counseling to help you choose the method that best suits your lifestyle and needs. Available methods include:

  • Oral contraceptives (the pill)

  • The patch

  • The ring

  • Depo-Provera injection

  • IUD/Nexplanon insertion and removal

Mondays: 5.00-8.30 pm
Fridays: 1-4.30 pm

We do NOT book appointments, the clinic is WALK-IN only

+ What languages are available

We use Provincial Language Services which provides service in over 200 languages

+ Can I come in for STI testing if I do not have an active MSP number?

Yes, you can still come into the clinic for STI testing. The service is free

+ How long does it take to get the results?

Usually 7 to 10 days

+ Do you offer anonymous STI testing?

We do not offer anonymous STI testing. Any kind of ID and a phone number is required

+ What should I expect during an STI visit?

Depending on your sexual activity and symptoms, testing may include: Urine sample, blood test, swabs from the throat, vagina, cervix, anus, or penis, swabs for genital lesions/sores. You can discuss your comfort level and concerns with your nurse or clinician before testing.

+ What if I test positive for an STI?

If your test is positive, we’ll contact you confidentially to arrange treatment and support. Most STIs are easily treatable.

+ Can I get tested even if I don’t have symptoms?

Yes. Many STIs don’t show symptoms, so regular testing is encouraged, especially when you have new or multiple partners.

+ Does REACH provide the IUD/Nexplanon or will I need to bring one?

This is the process for IUD/Nexplanon insertion:

  1. You will come into the clinic.
  2. One on our Registered Nurses will provide IUD/Nexplanon counselling.
  3. One of our Nurse Practitioners will provide you a prescription for IUD/Nexplanon and you can obtain IUD/Nexplanon from our REACH pharmacy upstairs, or any other pharmacy

+ Do I need to pay for birth control?

If you have active MSP the cost is covered. With no active MSP you will need to pay.

+ Do you offer rapid HIV testing?

No. We do not offer rapid HIV testing. We offer 4th generation HIV test. We collect the blood in the clinic and we send the sample to Life-Labs. It takes up to 7 days to receive the results

+ Do you offer abortion services?

We do not offer abortion services but we can redirect you to the appropriate clinics.

+ Do you offer PREP/PEP/DOXY Pep
