Health Equity and Engagement Department (HEED)

The Health Equity and Engagement Team

The Health Equity and Community Engagement Department (HEED) works to address the social determinants of health through tailored programs and cultural, social, health and wellness support.

Our HEED is comprised of two teams: Multicultural Family Centre (MFC) and Health Equity & Community Engagement.

Multicultural Family Centre (MFC): Support with healthcare/social service navigation for immigrant, refugee and Indigenous communities and victims of gender based violence.

Health Equity & Community Engagement: Educating and supporting vulnerable community members through workshops, health events, and connections to further health resources.

Please look at our frequently asked questions for more information, and our hours page to see when the HEED is open.

REACH provides innovative, high-quality primary health and dental care, and social, and educational services to support the physical and mental health and well-being of our community and individuals within it. We are a non-profit with funding from Vancouver Coastal Health, revenue from our dental clinic and pharmacy, and grants from community and governmental agencies. However, donations from our supporters can help us do more for our wonderful, diverse community.
